The bike maintenance course was the second Pedal Set Go course I have done and was useful, clear and professional. The presenter Li was very genuine and easy to understand and went at a pace that suited the novices in the room. I’d highly recommend any of the PSG courses to anyone with a bike.
Meet our team of Bike Safety Experts
Whether you are new to riding or just want to brush up on your bike skills, Pedal Set Go will provide easy to follow tips and expert advice to help keep you and your bike rolling.
The team has extensive experience teaching Sydneysiders of all ages and abilities how to ride bicycles safely and with confidence. We love the joy, flexibility & convenience that you can only get by riding a bike. Our love has taken us on cycling journeys in America, Europe, Central Asia and across Australia. In fact Jules and Li rode their bikes to the Opera House…from London…on bamboo bikes that they built themselves.
Liane, Eric, Yvonne, Sarah and Justine may be camera shy when it comes to close ups. Check out our social media where we have captured the teams fabulous personalities and skills. We are a team of experienced educators and trainers, sport and recreational riders, commuters, bike tourists, mechanics, bike builders, and active travel and climate champions. We are professionals with a wealth of lived experience to share.
Jules Lawrence | Founder | Lead Educator
Jules converted from motorbiking to biking in her 30s whilst living in Europe. She has lived experience of diverse cycling cultures and infrastructure around the world. She spent 18 months riding from London to Sydney, but is passionate that anyone can ride a bike and micro-adventures are to be found on our doorstep. She is a qualified cabinetmaker with a penchant for health and safety and rides self built bamboo bikes, folding and cargo bikes in preference to any other transport modes.
Li Ditlef-Nielsen | Partner | Educator
Li is a passionate believer in active transport and has been getting around various cities on 2 wheels since the age of 12. She worked as a cycle messenger in London and undertook maintenance training with Brixton Cycle Co-op in London. She has motivated numerous work colleagues to ditch other forms of transport and commute by bike and advised employers on appropriate end of trip and secure bike parking facilities. An avid tourer, whether it be to go to a festival, camping or across continents. She avoids lycra and enjoys the challenge of carrying cargo, be it cats, cupcakes, or camping gear. Off the bike, her background in health reinforces the benefits of cycling. She is super excited discovering the vast carrying capacity of her new electric cargo bike.
