This is an agreement between Pedal Set Go and you (“the Trainee”) that relates to all training, bicycle skills sessions, led rides, and other bicycle-related activities.
The Trainee agrees to take lessons in safe, effective bicycle riding from Pedal Set Go’s instructors (“the instructor”) for this purpose. The Trainee agrees that:
- Except in cases where the Pedal Set Go supplies the bicycle I ride, it is my responsibility to ensure that my bicycle is roadworthy and complies with all legal requirements before attending the Training session. If in any doubt concerning this, I will consult a bicycle mechanic.
- The Instructor(s) may refuse to train me if my bicycle is not roadworthy or may be a hazard to myself or other people. Their decision is final. I will not be entitled to a refund if the Training session cannot proceed due to an un-roadworthy or hazardous bicycle.
- Instructors are not required to carry out repairs to make an un-roadworthy bicycle, roadworthy.
- I accept that the instructors may at any time refuse to continue to train me if my behaviour or ability level is deemed to be disruptive or likely to be a hazard to myself or other people.
- I understand that Pedal Set Go is not responsible for any injury or loss or damage to either myself or any person or property either on the way to, or during the training or, on the way from the training.
- I understand that having taken training it does not necessarily follow that it is safe for me to ride a bicycle. To become bicycle proficient takes much more practice than one lesson can provide.
- During the lesson I agree to wear a bicycle helmet to the Australian Standard AS/NZS 2063
- I am responsible for any injury that may occur because of wearing, or not wearing a helmet.
- The instructor will advise me as to the fit of my helmet, but may not be able to tell from its appearance if it is in good condition.
- I undertake to make the instructors aware of any medical condition I have which may adversely affect the training.
- I agree that the Instructor(s) can adjust my own /or my child’s bicycle if necessary.
- Pedal Set Go will collect data such as:
Name, contact and emergency contact details, age, height and specific needs of the learner. - I agree that personal details held by Pedal Set Go may be given to a local council or community organisation being the organisation which in whole or in part pays for my training and that this organisation may contact me to ask for details of the training.
- Pedal Set Go does not sell data to any 3rd parties.
- Pedal Set Go may use your email address to send newsletters or request feedback; this can be opted out of when we send an email asking for this permission.
- I undertake to wear suitable clothing for the prevailing weather conditions expected during my lesson
- I understand I will need to consent to and sign a waiver and acknowledgment of risk before the training session commences and that a training session cannot take place if these terms and conditions are not agreed too.
- Cancellation less than 48 hrs before the course (or non-attendance) incurs the 100% loss of that session’s fees
- Pedal Set Go is a business providing services that requires time and planning for pre-arranged session times, therefore it is unlikely another client can make up your cancellation.
- Pedal Set Go understand that sometimes students or carers may become unwell on the day of the lesson/s. If this occurs, please contact us as soon as possible. Rescheduling or a lower fee may be charged at the discretion of the manager.
- Course fees must be paid in full within 48 hours of online booking or before the 1st booking date, whichever is sooner; unless other arrangements have been made.
- Cancellation of a booking, once paid for, incurs a $75 loss of course fees for administration; Rescheduling to another course is the preferred option and will be done where practicable.
- Pedal Set Go has the discretion to alter times and the day of course booked due to extreme weather forecast for the intended booking. This change will not incur a penalty
- Gift Certificates are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and will be emailed or posted as per request.
- Session times can be changed no later than 1 week prior to course without penalty.
- Pedal Set Go may use your email address to send newsletters or request feedback; this can be opted out of when we send an email asking for this permission.
